This category addresses the challenges posed by the increasing demands of the world's population. On the one hand, there are increasing demands  for energy, resources, and raw materials. On the other you have the increasingly limited resources of our planet and their seemingly unstoppable exploitation. These talks will present smart and clever ways in which we can join efforts to ensure our survival and  improve our quality of life through the use of technology. If this is done in a smart way, such improvement can in turn result in the optimization and preservation of the environment.

This collection of talks include topics to make our viewers reflect on the fact that environment and technology need not be exclusive of one another. We cannot pretend to save the environment in detriment of our quality of life. Similarly, we cannot improve quality of life in detriment of the environment. Technology and environmentalism need to go hand in hand in order to attain a better future.
